WHO IS ATION?

Introducing the Founders & Creative Directors of Ation Studio.

Ation Studio was founded by Jay Harris and Aikaterini Paraskevopoulou - the creative duo who came together to build a studio that works differently from the traditional agency model.

The studio was created with independent brands and small businesses in mind. We believe thoughtful, creative direction and branding shouldn’t only be accessible to large companies with large budgets. Our aim is to provide a collaborative and personable approach, helping brands develop strong visual identities, clear narratives and culturally aware creative work.

Jay Harris is a Creative Director, filmmaker and Senior Lecturer in Creative Direction & Curation for Fashion at Nottingham Trent University, as well as an Associate Lecturer in Design for Art Direction at UAL. Originally from London, with creative roots in Berlin, Jay has worked across art direction, filmmaking and creative direction for over a decade. His work spans fashion film, campaign development and visual identity, including directing the award-winning film Caravaggio’s Cupid.

Aikaterini Paraskevopoulou is a Creative Director, graphic designer and Senior Lecturer in Fashion Communication & Promotion at Nottingham Trent University. Of Greek origin, her work is informed by cultural research, visual storytelling and contemporary design practice. She is the founder of Moan Zine, a female-led erotic publication centred on connection, liberation and sensuality. Alongside her design practice, Aikaterini works extensively with trend forecasting and cultural insight, helping brands understand shifts in culture, aesthetics and audience behaviour.

Together, Jay and Aikaterini founded Ation Studio to support brands through conversation, discovery and strategy. The studio often works with independent, community-focused, female-led and LGBTQ+ brands, bringing together their extensive knowledge and cultural insight to help brands shape identities that feel clear, relevant and considered.
